Item Description
Maestro is a 16 yr old warmblood gelding (Oldenburg x Paint cross), retired from competing in dressage with a petite adult amateur rider. He has been in my care for 1 year. Prior to boarding with me, he spent the past 10 or so years at various boarding barns with little that offered little to no turnout and has adapted well to full-turnout country life. He does have arthritis in his rear fetlocks but is perfectly pasture sound without any need for pain management medications. He can run, buck and play with the young quarter horses just fine and never comes up sore. I was told he is still fine to ride, but I have not ridden him myself as he has been just a boarder. Would be suitable for another small adult amateur and/or youth rider. Would also make an excellent therapy horse. In your pocket, sweet and friendly, but never rude or pushy, happy to meet you at the gate.
Coggins good thru 4/9/26, vaxxed for rabies & VEWT on 4/9/25, most recent dewormer was 2/5/26 - ivermectin.
Currently on free choice Bermuda hay, grain twice a day. Each meal: 1 scoop MG 12/8, 1 scoop MG Senior, 1 cup whole oats, 1 cup alfalfa pellets. (+1 full pump of healthy coat oil with dinner)
